In February 2018, a new action research supervision group will be starting. Based on my doctoral research inquiry into coaching supervision, we will be taking a fresh approach that is at the forefront of contemporary standards, both leading edge and pioneering. The work we do will be an integration of action research, reflective practice and adult learning, underpinned by the relational power that enables us to participate in generative dialogue and learning.
Together we will co-create a learning experience that will take your practice to a new level. We will explore the elements that support us in our practice, and which help sustain and expand our professional development. We will focus on your reflections, your experience of how you engage in your client work, and your own well-being.
The programme will offer you the opportunity to join a closed group of six professional coaches/supervisors to explore and reflect on your practice working with individuals, groups and teams. The venue will be in West London.
The group will meet in person and virtually, to help us experience the impact of both types of meeting on us and our clients. Our sessions will follow this pattern:
We meet in person for five ‘short’ days (approx 10.30am-4.00pm) over a period of approximately 12 months. The dates, which will be agreed in advance, will start on 6 February 2018.
We meet virtually for three 90 minute Zoom calls in the intervening months (excluding December and August), experimenting with video calls.
In these sessions, we will:
Review how your practice is developing
Connect with your ongoing learning and development
Keep in touch with our collective work together
Take time to pause and reflect
Model and learn from this approach, as more clients are wanting to work this way
