Next year (2021) I’m going to be involved in facilitating an innovative and immersive four-day programme for qualified coaching supervisors. The programme was originally scheduled for March 2020, but is being rescheduled due to the pandemic. I’ll be posting the dates and further details when I have them.
Beyond Models, Going Deeper promises to be a time of personal reflection, giving us the opportunity to pause and discover a deeper vision of the supervision work we offer. I’m looking forward to working alongside the other members of our faciliation team: Edna Murdoch and Miriam Orriss of the Coaching Supervision Academy, and Claire Genkai Breeze of Relume.
Leaving our qualifications at the door we’ll move into a practice of curiosity and emergence. Over our four days together, we’ll experience our ‘not knowing’, and inquire into what takes us beyond established and fixed models. Anyone coming to the programme can expect to work in a highly collaborative learning community, where easy answers are suspended in favour of deeper possibilities.
Each day will provide space for personal reflection, possibly through journalling, walking, contemplation or meditation. All the time, we will be encouraging each other to seek deeper levels of awareness and insight, using both our client work and our selves, working in group process.
For myself, I’m hoping these days together will fulfil everything I love best about supervision, especially its wonderfully curious, emergent and developmental process for whoever is involved. This will be time away to explore experiential learning paths, and discover how we might become our best selves in service of our clients, and for our own flourishing as supervisors.
