I’m really struck, over the years I’ve worked in supervision, how more and more we are emphasising the process of reflection on practice that supervision involves. A recurring question that arises with some of my clients is perhaps personified in a statement from one client, who said, ‘You know, Alison, I’m not sure I know how to reflect.’
After she shared that, we had the most gorgeous conversation around: What does reflection look or sound like? How does each individual practitioner who wants to do their best work with their client stand back from what they’re doing and how they’re doing it and explore and consider their practice?
